Principal's Biography

Galina Zbrizher founded Total Lighting Solutions Inc. in 2001.

Galina's work as a lighting designer has been recognized with numerous high profile national and international awards, including International Association of Lighting Designers (IALD) International Lighting Design Award, International Illumination Design Award (IIDA), Vision Award, IDIBC Award of Excellence and Global Shop Award.

Galina's passion as a lighting designer is evident by her notable role in the evolution of the lighting design profession:

• Contributing author to Lighting Magazine
• Current Chair of the IES Hospitality Facilities Committee and active contributor to development of the Design Guide for Hotel Lighting DG-25 published in 2012
• Past judge at:
  • 2007 International Association of Lighting Designers
  • 2004 GE Edison Awards
  • 2002 International Association of Lighting Designers
• Long-standing member of Lightfair International Conference Advisory Committee (1999 through to 2006)
• Served as President of Illuminating Engineering Society (IES), Toronto Section, 1993-1994
• Served on the Board of Directors of International Association of Lighting Designers (IALD), 2008-2009

Galina has a proven track record as a skilled and talented lighting designer. She is a Lighting Certified Qualified Professional (LC, NCQLP) as well as a professional member of the International Association of Lighting Designers (IALD) and Illuminating Engineering Society of North America (IESNA). She holds a Master of Science from Kharkiv (Ukraine) Institute of Technical University of Construction and Architecture.

Galina has been practicing as a lighting designer since 1987. She is currently Principal Lighting Designer at Total Lighting Solutions Inc.
